1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing, browsing, purchasing from, or otherwise using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Use.

For the purposes of these Terms, “you,” “your,” or “user” means any individual or legal entity accessing or using the Platform or purchasing products from DecorTales.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and DecorTales.

You agree to provide accurate, complete, and truthful information whenever requested by us in connection with your account, order, or use of our services.

You are responsible for all activities carried out through your account and for maintaining the confidentiality of any account credentials.

You agree not to use the Platform for any purpose that is unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or prohibited under these Terms or applicable Indian laws.

3. Product Information

DecorTales makes reasonable efforts to ensure that product descriptions, images, prices, specifications, and other information displayed on the Platform are accurate and up to date.

However, slight variations in colour, texture, finish, size, or appearance may occur due to lighting, photography, screen settings, and the handcrafted nature of certain products.

Such minor variations shall not necessarily be considered defects.

We reserve the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions and to update product information at any time without prior notice.

4. Handmade Products

Many products offered by DecorTales are handcrafted. Because of the handmade nature of our products, each piece may have slight variations in appearance, colour, texture, or finish.

These natural variations are part of the uniqueness of handmade products and are not considered manufacturing defects unless otherwise stated.

5. Pricing and Payments

All prices displayed on the Platform are subject to change without prior notice.

You agree to pay the applicable price for the products purchased by you, along with any applicable shipping charges, taxes, or other charges displayed at checkout.

We reserve the right to cancel or refuse an order in cases including, but not limited to, pricing errors, inventory issues, suspected fraudulent activity, or other circumstances where fulfilment is not reasonably possible.

6. Orders and Contracts

When you place an order through the Platform, you are making an offer to purchase the selected products.

An order confirmation does not necessarily constitute final acceptance of the order. DecorTales reserves the right to accept, reject, or cancel an order at its discretion, subject to applicable law.

Once an order is accepted and processed, it will be shipped according to our applicable shipping procedures.

7. Intellectual Property

All content available on the Platform, including but not limited to logos, brand names, product images, photographs, graphics, text, designs, layouts, illustrations, videos, and other materials, is owned by or licensed to DecorTales and is protected under applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, copy, modify, distribute, publish, sell, or commercially exploit any content from the Platform without our prior written permission.

Unauthorized use of any Platform content may result in appropriate legal action.

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or services for your convenience.

DecorTales does not control or endorse such third-party websites and is not responsible for their content, availability, privacy practices, terms, or policies.

Your use of third-party websites is subject to the terms and policies applicable to those websites.

9. User Responsibilities

You agree that you will not:

  • Use the Platform for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose.

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Platform or its systems.

  • Interfere with the security or operation of the Platform.

  • Copy, reproduce, or misuse our content or intellectual property.

  • Provide false, misleading, or fraudulent information.

  • Use the Platform in a manner that may damage, disable, or impair its functionality.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, DecorTales shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform or purchase or use of our products.

While we make reasonable efforts to maintain accurate information and reliable services, we do not guarantee that the Platform will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or completely accurate.

Your use of the Platform and purchase of products is undertaken at your own discretion and risk.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless DecorTales, its owners, employees, representatives, affiliates, agents, and service providers from any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses, including reasonable legal expenses, arising from:

  • Your violation of these Terms of Use.

  • Your violation of any applicable law or regulation.

  • Your misuse of the Platform.

  • Your infringement of the rights of any third party.

  • Any fraudulent or unauthorized activity carried out by you.

12. Force Majeure

DecorTales shall not be responsible for any delay or failure to perform its obligations where such delay or failure results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, fire, floods, strikes, transportation disruptions, government restrictions, internet or technical failures, pandemics, or other force majeure events.

13. Returns and Refunds

Returns and refunds are governed by our Refund & Return Policy, which forms part of these Terms of Use.

Customers must ensure that returned products are unused, intact, and in their original condition and packaging, wherever applicable.

14. Large Parcels / Big Consignments

If you receive a large parcel, multiple-item order, or big consignment from DecorTales, we strongly recommend recording a short, continuous unboxing video while opening the package.

The video may be requested as supporting evidence in the event of damage, missing items, incorrect products, or other delivery-related issues.

15. Reporting Damaged or Missing Items

If your order arrives damaged, contains missing items, or you receive an incorrect product, please contact us within 24–48 hours of delivery.

Please provide:

  • Your order number.

  • Photographs of the outer packaging.

  • Clear photographs/videos of the product.

  • An unboxing video, if available.

  • A brief description of the issue.

We will review the information provided and assist you in accordance with our applicable policies.

Claims reported after the specified period may not be eligible for replacement, refund, or other resolution, subject to applicable law.

16. Changes to These Terms

DecorTales reserves the right to modify, update, or change these Terms of Use at any time without prior notice.

Any changes will become effective once the updated Terms are published on the Platform.

It is your responsibility to periodically review these Terms to remain informed of any changes.

17. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms of Use and any dispute arising out of or relating to your use of the Platform or purchase of products shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of India.

Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the appropriate courts in India.
